Christine Erdmann, F.N.P., heads the acne treatment center as well as providing cosmetic laser and injectables. Melanie Tan heads up the aesthetics department performing luxury facials and waxing. She was the featured dermatologist on ABC television’s “Extreme Makeover.” While working on the show, she had a limited time to get people looking their best. By using a combination of innovative techniques in an accelerated time frame, she was able to clear acne, rejuvenate aging skin and ease acne scarring in as little as two weeks! Realizing that not everyone was able to have an “Extreme Makeover,” she developed a formula for combination treatments available in both of her offices. Acne scars are a difficult reminder of our skin’s unfortunate past. These marks are left behind following an acne breakout. Acne pimples cause injury deep into our dermis, and as our skin heals collagen is left behind which can result in a scar. There is very little one can do to prevent acne scarring other than to attempt to control their active acne. There are new developments, however, which can treat acne scars and improve their texture.
