Our physicians take great pride in their ability and desire to provide care for patients with wide scope of dermatologic and plastic surgical concerns. Our physicians will diligently evaluate patients with a variety of medical diagnoses, ranging from neoplastic (cancer) diseases, to congenital (birth defects), to cosmetic interests. Their comfort in this matter emanates from their academic background and continued interest in academic endeavors. Our physicians' qualifications, along with their exemplary bedside manners (as praised by their patients), will be the cornerstone of every interaction with their patients.
Acne scars are a difficult reminder of our skin’s unfortunate past. These marks are left behind following an acne breakout. Acne pimples cause injury deep into our dermis, and as our skin heals collagen is left behind which can result in a scar. There is very little one can do to prevent acne scarring other than to attempt to control their active acne. There are new developments, however, which can treat acne scars and improve their texture. The science of lasers has developed some very exciting devices which can improve acne scarring. Fractional lasers such as the Fraxel and the SmartSkin treatment can greatly improve skin texture and tone. Please call today to learn more about the latest treatments.
